Heirlooms for the modern world
Nūrain was created on a simple premise: luxury jewellery should not be homogenous. It should be personal. We set out to make bespoke pieces in precious metals that pay reverence to our rich culture, centuries of tradition wrapped in a modern shape.
Our pieces are made to be recognised, the way you might recognise something from your grandmother's wrist: an echo of a memory, and a history worth preserving.
Alongside our collections, we opened our studio doors. Today Nūrain is two things under one roof: a jewellery house, and a place where anyone can sit at the bench, carve their own piece in wax, and leave with something that is truly theirs.

Lost-wax, five thousand years in the making
Every Nūrain piece begins the way jewellery has begun for more than 5,000 years: as a model carved in wax. It is the technique behind the bronze “Dancing Girl” of Mohenjo-daro in the Indus Valley, the Benin Bronzes of West Africa, and the Dhokra metalwork still made by artisans in India today.
The wax is encased in a mould and melted away, the “lost” in lost-wax, and molten metal fills the space it leaves. Whatever you can see in the wax, every line and every fingerprint, lives on in the metal.

From a quiet evening class to a conference of a hundred, we turn time together into something you can hold. Every guest designs and carves their own piece, guided step by step by our silversmiths.
We host in our loft or bring the workshop to your home, office or venue, and run it flame-free where a venue requires.
