Couples Jewellery Making Workshop in Toronto
Spend an afternoon (or evening) together creating something truly your own. In our Couples Class, you and your partner will step into the world of fine jewellery and learn the foundations of lost-wax design side by side.
Guided by one of our instructors, you'll each design, cut, sculpt, and refine your own wax piece from scratch, you can make matching wedding bands, couple pendants, or two entirely different designs that tell your story.
It's a relaxed, hands-on session perfect for a couple celebrating an engagement, anniversary, or just looking for a creative date that results in something you'll wear forever.
Location: Leslieville, Downtown Toronto
Duration: 3.5 hours
What to Expect: Your session begins with a dedicated design consultation, where you'll talk through what you'd like to make together, matching rings, coordinating pendants, or fully independent pieces, and get guidance on shape, scale, and feasibility before you start carving.
From there, you'll each work on your own wax piece with hands-on instructor support at every step: cutting, shaping, and finishing. The full session is booked exclusively for you, so you'll have your instructor's attention throughout, not shared with other participants.
Safety: This workshop uses open flames, heated metal and sharp hand tools. Long hair must be tied back.
Pricing: covers two participants, please note that casting your final wax piece is optional, and will include additional casting costs based on the gram weight of the final piece.
We can currently offer casting in sterling silver, and 14k and 18k gold. Typical sterling silver casting costs ranges from $40 for delicate pieces, to upwards of $100 for heavier pieces, depending on the weight of your design. The cost of casting in gold can be 10x the cost of silver, depending on weight and karat.
We’re happy to recommend lighter, more delicate options if preferred, however, choosing to cast your piece is always optional, and we’ll be sure to let you know the estimated cost before finalizing. Once cast, we will ship your polished piece directly to your home, in about 2 weeks. We can work with you to expedite this to meet a deadline or event timeline!
